Towers

Soundown supplies Tower silencers, and designs complete systems for underwater discharge exhausts. These systems offer super silent operation while reducing the problems of nuisance gas odors and sooting of the hull. They also provide a space saving for aft spaces in mid machinery vessels. The tower is a slender silencer that eliminates noise introduction into the accommodations from an unsilenced exhaust plume driving on the hull bottom. It is commonly paired with a smaller WaterDrop silencer that provides a super silent, low speed, above water bypass branch. The low speed branch prevents dockside bubbling from the below water outlet cowl and limits backpressure underway at low speed as well.
