Classic WaterDrop
The Classic WaterDrop silencer is the original configuration of our two-stage design. The Classic WaterDrop offers the advantage of greater flexibility in the arrangement of the connections. The gas and raw water mixture enter at the base of the silencer downstream of the engine's water injection elbow. The Classic WaterDrop discharges the gas and raw water separately. This means that the base of the silencer can be located at or above the DWL for gravity drainage from the silencer base to a through-hull fitting below. The cooled, dried exhaust gas is discharged from the silencer side-shell, top center or bottom center. The exhaust gas may also be routed at much higher velocity than would be possible in full, wet discharge systems without creating excess backpressure. This enables the discharge run to be smaller diameter than conventional wet systems. This allows the exhaust fumes to be jetted away from the vessel into the slipstream.
